I realize this isn't precisely the best time or the best place to say such a thing, Pansy, but I...I really do value your opinion more than anyone else's right now. You know me the best. You're the one who...who's been my friend--hell, more than that at times--since we were children.

Just not Potter, Pansy, and hell, I'm betting that's why you went after him. We're...we're just becoming friends, Pansy. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd admit that aloud, but bloody hell, Harry Potter and I are becoming friends. If you really want to know, that's why I've been so distant lately. I've been befriending Potter, and I know that you and Vincent would be wary of it.

I...I have been getting closer to the other future students as well, Pansy. If I want to guarantee that I'm going to be alive five years from now, I sure as hell need to convince them that my life is worth being made. If Lucius and Narcissa do not have me by 1981, I won't exist any more, Pansy. The easiest way to end this whole bloody thing is by killing my father, and we both bloody well know it.

And you and I both fucking know that Lucius is Voldemort's second hand man in this time and would do anything to defend the bastard. How in hell do you think the Malfoy name became so well known and respected among the Death Eaters? It sure as hell didn't happen over night. Lucius WILL be foolish enough in this time to stand before Voldemort to spare his master's life. Sure, he would weasel his way out of Azkaban punishment for doing it, but he'll do it all the same.

Kill Lucius Malfoy. Weaken Voldemort's strength and army, then deliver the final blow to him. That's the best way to ensure that the Death Eaters never achieve the full power that they do in our time. That's just about the only way that I know of.

I...Hannah Abbott. I know, Pansy. It sounds bloody ridiculous. But...she's a surprisingly intelligent witch, actually. She may be a Hufflepuff, but I...I don't know what the fuck's wrong with me lately. I think I probably whacked my bloody head when we came back in time.

I have interest in Hannah, yes, but...I don't even know if she'd see me in that light or if she'd ever take an interest in me at all outside of friendship. It's quite clear to me that I DO still love you, Pansy, if I'm this furious over the fact that you'd just outright ask Potter for a flipping date. It's Potter of all people, Pansy.

...Potter will probably slit my throat for explaining this, but I imagine he's probably talking to you as he is because he wants your help with the...the DA group that he's starting up. I bet he doesn't even realize he's doing it, to be fair. Then again, I've only just befriended the prat. Who am I to go all psychological and attempt to rationalize the situation?
